NEW CASTING RECORD SET
The foundry team have nearly completed the largest casting to date. Destined for several clients, the Museum's World War I poetry project and stock for the Foundry Shop, 55kilograms -nearly 30,000 characters have been cast. The matrix frame was very kindly lent by Matt McKenzie of Paekakariki Press in Walthamstow, London as 14pt is missing from the Museum's matrix collection. Some technical difficulties have meant a few characters were unable to completed before the frame returned to London. The Type Museum will be making the matrices so that the orders can be completed. Most other point sizes are available in this fount.
